We entered a competition with a simple premise – enter, be paired with a band, and get two weeks to session on an idea, get to know the song, find a location, find props, find actors, shoot, edit, grade and submit. Whilst doing a day to day job.

We got paired with The Balkan Bandits

It was a great experience. We didn’t sleep much. Having thought out rough ideas for different styles of music, we got Balkan gypsy music – didn’t see that coming. We made a video on pretty much zero budged, found an awesome gin bar in the process to use as a location (thank you Trippets Gin and Jazz Bar!), and we made a video that’s gone down well.
